An Ode to All those Wonderful Friends I Made

On a lazy Sunday afternoon at my home
I sit tight on my chair and peek into my past
I walk through the corridors of my life
The ages when I wanted companionship
And when I met those whom I could relate to
The times when I talked to them
And the initial difficulty to relay my intent to them
And then the beautiful times together
Some really long and some short lived for their own valid reasons
Some last for a lifetime like there is no end
And there are others which are etched to heart for a lifetime
Some become a habit while others a pastime
There are others that turn into relationship which were not meant to be
And then there are the ones that were never ever meant to be
There were no bad or good ones
There were only the less intense and the more intense ones
Every one unique and meant to hold a place of their own
Every one leaving a different experience in life
A learning or two I learnt to never make my mistakes again
And when you add those years to life
A lot of memories to be happy that there were all of them
An ode, this is, to all those wonderful friends I made
